Founder, Big Trek Works: Integrated Marketing Communications

Jill is a seasoned integrated marketing communications leader with more than 20 years of helping culturally relevant businesses and organizations define their paths and amplify their messages. She’s built teams, launched websites, developed successful strategic marketing and communications strategies, and given life to strategic plans.

Jill is a rapid but strategic problem solver who can quickly and decisively translate ideas into action. 

Before founding Big Trek Works, Jill was VP of Marketing & Communications at Columbus College of Art & Design, serving the nonprofit arts college for more than six years; Wholesale Marketing Director at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams; and Marketing Director for more than a decade for The Hills Markets. She’s dedicated a significant part of her creative energy to serving on boards, including two years as President of Wild Goose Creative, and four years on the board of CreativeOhio (previously Ohio Citizens for the Arts). 

Jill is a graduate of Leadership Columbus, and has received recognition from the Greater Columbus Arts Council (Emerging Arts Leader), the American Advertising Federation, the Columbus Society of Communicating Arts, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Cleveland Press Club.

Big Trek is named for Jill’s passion for the outdoors, and its grounding-yet-challenging nature. Jill is courageous, agile, and action-oriented in her outdoor adventuring and her professional life, and she seeks and builds community at every opportunity.
